Role Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production workflow, which includes assembly, machinery operation, processing, and packaging. This role requires coordination of team efforts under the guidance of a senior supervisor.

The individual will establish production timelines based on material availability, workforce allocation, and output requirements to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.


Essential Duties:
1. Engage daily with all production personnel on the floor.
2. Develop and assign daily tasks and schedules for team members.
3. Ensure adherence to production timelines.
4. Communicate product status updates, including mixing, coating, pressing, and quality assurance results, both verbally and through communication devices.
5. Collaborate with other departments as necessary.
6. Prepare comprehensive end-of-shift reports for the incoming shift and address any production shortfalls.
7. Manage staffing requirements for absences due to vacations or illness.
8. Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and replacements as needed.
9. Proactively arrange staffing for downtime related to clean-up, changeovers, and scheduled maintenance.
10. Comply with company policies and regulations.
11. Oversee the management of raw materials for production use.
12. Exhibit flexibility in work schedules.
13. Demonstrate familiarity with 5S and Lean methodologies.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:


To maintain a safe working environment, the use of PPE may be necessary, which could include items such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.

Qualifications:
Education:

Basic/Required:
Some High School education

Preferred:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Essential Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
Must be able to pass certification for forklift and pallet jack operation.
Proficient in the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Ability to operate all quality control equipment related to production processes.
Capable of motivating team members and fostering a high-performance team culture.
Experience in conducting performance evaluations.
Safety-conscious mindset.
Ability to make informed decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
