Position Overview:

Embedded Linux Engineer

U-Boot Expertise:
  • Proficient in cross-compilation techniques.
  • Experience with U-Boot setup, including build configuration and optimization of binary file sizes.
  • Familiarity with TFTP and various modem protocols.
  • Ability to configure kernel startup parameters and manage autostart processes.
  • Understanding of file systems and their manipulation within the U-Boot environment.
  • Knowledge of standard U-Boot environment variables.

Linux Kernel Proficiency:
  • Capable of cross-compiling the Linux kernel to fulfill project specifications.
  • Skilled in kernel configuration and knowledgeable about the Linux Kernel project file structure.
  • Experience in debugging kernel startup processes, with proficiency in GDB and KGDB.
  • Background in debugging Linux drivers, with a solid understanding of System V and systemd.
  • Primary responsibilities will include transitioning the existing initialization subsystem from System V to systemd.
  • Familiarity with NFS is a plus.

Yocto Project Skills:
  • Experience in constructing and customizing the filesystem to align with project requirements using the Yocto Project tools.
  • Competence in setting up and configuring recipes, as well as managing the build process.
  • Knowledge of QEMU is advantageous.
