Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized clerical and administrative functions with a focus on data entry and case processing.
  • Manage case-flow activities throughout the entire case lifecycle, including docket entry, processing new electronic and paper filings, issuing notifications, and reviewing case documents for accuracy.
  • Prepare legal orders and motions, and coordinate scheduling for court events.
  • Utilize various tools to facilitate both in-person and virtual court proceedings.
  • Execute operator functions during court sessions, ensuring high-speed docket entry and real-time processing in busy environments.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail to uphold standardized business practices.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding form completion, court kiosks, and case information.
  • Collect fines and fees according to established protocols, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation.
  • Stay informed about court rules and statutes to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in clerical, secretarial, or data entry roles, with preference for candidates possessing experience in a legal context.
  • College education may substitute for work experience on a year-for-year basis.

Work Environment:

Work hours typically align with public court hours, though flexibility may be required. Occasional travel to other courts within the state may be necessary, with travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with state policies.
