Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- BCLS certification.
- ACLS certification upon hire or transfer into unit.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac care or a related field.
- CCRN certification.
- PALS certification.
- TNCC certification.
