The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Family Court Facilitator. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of families and children in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides individual case management and coordination of family-related matters, including domestic relations, domestic violence, dependency, and neglect and delinquency cases.
- Manages domestic case types, including Dependency and Neglect, Delinquency, Truancy, Adoption, and Relinquishment.
- Conducts status conferences and assists parties with identification of disputed issues and options for resolution.
- Liaises between the specialty court magistrate, court personnel, treatment providers, attorneys, and other members of the specialty team.
- Facilitates the exchange of necessary information and prepares cases for judicial officers.
- Assists parties and counsel in understanding court processes and policies.
- Attends, participates, and manages subcommittees of Best Practice Court Team and other stakeholder meetings.
- Helps manage Truancy Docket and Specialty Court Youth Educational Support Services (YESS).
- Bachelor's degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in social work, legal, or other related field.
- Advanced skills and extensive knowledge of work.
- Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
- Good work environment - relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
