Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather detailed social histories, analyze data, and develop tailored action plans to address the unique needs of each juvenile.
  • Provide direct support, guidance, counseling, and referrals to community resources to support youth's progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with professionals, including attorneys, judges, and other agencies, to ensure effective case management.
  • Respond to youth behaviors and compliance on supervision and focusing on community safety.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, conducting regular check-ins with youth, families, and service providers to assess progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of case notes, data, and reports.
  • Represent youth in court hearings and advocate for their best interests.
  • Develop and implement case plans, conduct assessments, and provide structured supervision to pre-adjudicated juveniles.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to evaluate youth's progress and address their needs.
  • Adhere to all protocols set forth in the Case Management Protocol Handbook.
  • Conduct intake screening and other assessments as needed to determine detention or home release on youth arrested on a rotational weekly basis, as well as one weekend shift a month.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Familiarity with commonly used risk/need assessment and treatment assessment tools.
  • Understanding of effective interventions and evidence-based practices for working with youth.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to problem-solve in stressful situations.
  • Ability to multi-task in stressful situations.
  • Prior experience engaging/mentoring high-risk youth.
  • Prior work experience with law enforcement.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Experience requirement: One (1) year of experience in performing case management, including completing comprehensive needs assessments and developing and implementing case plans. Or one (1) year of experience in case work and counseling in areas such as Diversion, Probation, alcohol and drug abuse, community-based treatment case management, or a closely related area.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • License/Certifications: By position, requires eligibility to possess a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) certificate or an Alcohol and Drug Evaluation Specialist (ADES) Certification from the State of Colorado at the time of application.
