Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop cutting-edge Wireless and WiFi System-on-Chip (SoC) product platforms from initial concept through to production launch, working closely with cross-disciplinary engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Conduct architectural evaluations of RF/mixed-signal subsystems, including Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), mixers, Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs), Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs), Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs), and Power Amplifiers (PAs); decompose system-level specifications into detailed block requirements.
• Actively participate in committees for Wireless systems standardization.
• Model non-ideal behaviors within the system and circuitry, integrating them into a comprehensive link-budget analysis.
• Collaborate with the RF Integrated Circuit (RFIC) testing team and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) team to evaluate the performance of RF/mixed-signal subsystems and components, ensuring system efficacy on silicon.
• Provide debugging support and assist clients in optimizing the performance of RF/mixed-signal subsystems.

Qualifications
• Profound knowledge of RF Systems, including circuit components such as LNAs, mixers, power amplifiers, and VCOs, and their influence on overall system performance.
• Extensive understanding of electromagnetic field theory, antenna design, and theory.
• Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), digital pre-distortion (DPD), and the design and implementation of digital circuits.
• Experience in hardware PCB design.
• Hands-on experience with chip bring-up, troubleshooting, system integration, and laboratory validation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Compensation and Benefits
MaxLinear embraces a Total Compensation philosophy that encompasses base salary, annual discretionary bonuses, and stock-based compensation for many roles. The anticipated starting base salary ranges from $110,100 to $170,890 annually.
