Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Laurels of Bon Air. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
    • Conduct scheduled maintenance on all equipment, including boilers, refrigerators, and laundry equipment.
    • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with our facilities team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of one year of experience in physical plant and equipment maintenance in an institutional environment.
    • Vocational training in skilled trades or other relevant training preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • None required.
