A Senior Financial Analyst at Corporation Service Company plays a pivotal role in supporting the business. This position is essential for reporting, analyzing, and planning revenue, operational, and capital expenditures for the designated business unit. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to conduct business analytics and engage in strategic planning initiatives. The objective is to establish a reliable partnership with the business area, delivering insightful analysis, guidance, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary financial advisor to one of the largest business units, collaborating closely with senior management to develop comprehensive business plans, identify opportunities for value creation, and enhance overall business performance.
  • Collect and assess sales and operational data, providing actionable recommendations based on analytical conclusions. Suggest improvements regarding systems and processes to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the business unit, including revenue, employee-related expenses, non-employee expenses, and capital investment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners at various levels to evaluate financial and operational performance, offer recommendations, engage in strategic initiatives, and prepare findings for senior management.
  • Conduct various financial calculations, generate specific ad hoc reports, and create visual representations of financial data. Manage the daily financial operations of the supported business area.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in budget preparation and analysis.
  • Experience in financial analysis and planning within a medium to large organization.
  • Knowledge of capital investment planning, analysis, and management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a proactive approach to staying informed on industry trends, financial modeling techniques, and emerging tools.
  • Strong proficiency in database query functionality using Microsoft Access, Business Objects, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, or equivalent.
  • Thorough understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles, along with knowledge of US GAAP standards.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred) and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to all organizational levels, particularly senior management.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently within a team framework.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.
