About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Truck Driver - Fuel Delivery Specialist to join our team at Suburban Propane. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering fuel to our customers' homes and businesses in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Fuel Safely and Efficiently: You will be responsible for operating a company vehicle to deliver fuel to our customers, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: You will be responsible for maintaining the delivery truck, including reviewing maintenance records, performing inspections, and reporting any vehicle conditions that require attention.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: You will be the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their needs, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Account for Funds and Inventory: You will be responsible for accurately accounting for funds and inventory using a user-friendly handheld terminal.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): You must have a valid CDL with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate: You must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce.
  • Ability to Lift and Pull Equipment: You must be able to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 pounds.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
