Financial Specialist Lead

The Financial Specialist Lead plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the banking center. This individual ensures compliance with bank policies and procedures, contributing to a positive customer experience through efficient transaction processing, deposit account opening, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing transactions accurately and in accordance with established guidelines
  • Balancing transactions and cash, ensuring a thorough audit trail
  • Teaching end-of-day balancing processes to team members
  • Making informed decisions and approving higher-level transactions within established parameters
  • Identifying customer expansion opportunities and referring customers to relevant bank personnel
  • Assisting customers with deposit account openings and ancillary services
  • Performing account maintenance and resolving customer service issues
  • Mentoring and training new employees, promoting the ANBTX culture

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of customer service experience in new accounts, with a focus on account opening
  • Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with effective selling, cross-selling, and referral abilities

Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic keyboarding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs. may be required in an office setting
  • Occasional work exceeding 40 hours per week may be necessary
