Job Overview

Compensation and Benefits

  • The hourly wage for this position is $22.97.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching is available for full-time employees after one year of service.

Position Highlights

  • This is a contract role.
  • The required working hours for this position are from 1 PM to 9:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for refilling and managing prescription requests in an automated setting. Under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist, the technician will prepare, package, and distribute medications efficiently in a dynamic production environment. Maintaining a steady workflow is essential to meet daily production targets.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Filling bottles with prescribed medications, including temperature-sensitive items.
  • Opening bottles and cases as needed.
  • Utilizing SI Baker equipment for accurate bottle filling.
  • Reading computer-generated screens to locate and verify products.
  • Conducting inventory cycle counts of medications.
  • Replenishing stock as necessary.
  • Performing cleaning and maintenance on all equipment.
  • Counting stock to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Selecting medications for preparation.
  • Placing pharmaceuticals in appropriate containers and labeling them accordingly.
  • Monitoring inventory for expired medications.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Receiving and storing incoming supplies.
  • Processing orders for shipment.
  • Assisting in inventory management and stocking shelves.
  • Preparing paperwork for shipping alongside prescriptions.
  • Sorting orders by destination for efficient shipping.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's Degree in Science is preferred.
  • A valid Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.
  • All licenses must remain valid throughout employment.
  • Completion of required technical training as mandated by the state.
  • HIPAA Certification is required.

Experience:

  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations is essential.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary.
  • Warehouse experience is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Ability to accurately assess quantities in packages.
  • Proficient in using SI Baker equipment with precision.
  • Strong reading comprehension for computer-generated information.
  • Effective communication skills are important.
