Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at CSL Plasma. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pheresis process, providing exceptional customer service to donors, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process and monitor the donor and the process, responding to specific alarms or signals that may occur.
  • Disconnect the donor when the process is complete and maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction the donor may have during or after the process.
  • Use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and alarms, volume variances, and donor adverse events.
  • Use the PDA to link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor and alert the Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
  • Ensure the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed, and follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information and may be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You will be frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood-borne pathogens. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas. You will also be required to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.
