About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure prompt submission of all images and documents sent to PACS.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized department environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree: Associate's degree or completion of a Nuclear Medicine certification program.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
