Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology endpoints including computers, servers, networks, and mobile devices.
- Manage vulnerabilities and implement security updates across all endpoints.
- Deploy new computers utilizing SCCM/Autopilot and configure workstations accordingly.
- Administer Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and control user permissions within Active Directory.
- Monitor and address help desk inquiries, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Engage in contract negotiations, budgeting, and procurement in line with organizational policies while keeping track of essential inventory.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for hardware and software assets, network diagrams, operational procedures, and change management logs.
- Oversee backup systems and ensure their effective operation.
- Ensure adherence to corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding IT usage, procurement, security measures, data backups, and electronic waste management.
- Administer and oversee the Avaya VoIP telephony system.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to support remote operations.
- Execute special projects or additional tasks as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years in a senior IT position.
- In-depth knowledge of computing systems, networking, mobile technology, and Microsoft products such as Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016+, O365, Teams, and Active Directory.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to quickly learn and support emerging technologies.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Hyper-V, Forscout, Tanium, Carbon Black, Global Protect, Intune, SCCM, Meraki, Cherwell, and PrinterLogic.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent sitting and the use of hands for operating computers and telephones. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching are required. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for equipment setup is necessary. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a standard office setting with a moderate noise level. The work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
