SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

WORK LOCATION: Tempe, AZ

ROLE SUMMARY: The Financial Accountant will be responsible for generating financial statements and evaluating the company’s financial performance. This role primarily focuses on managing financial operations related to accounts payable, receivable, and various accounting records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Conduct analysis of significant accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations of subsidiary accounts to the general ledger.
  • Establish and implement record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing and payment processing.
  • Develop and execute collection strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of OBEER ERP and ensure system upkeep.
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies and recommend suitable corrective actions.
  • Communicate and coordinate accounting policies and procedures with various stakeholders, including department managers and external vendors.
  • Reconcile inventory and support effective inventory control processes.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process and support audits of company policies and transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, preferably Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on management reporting.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Timely completion of monthly closing and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with advanced formulas and PivotTables.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or OBEER is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with database, inventory, order processing, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ensure proper controls and processes are maintained at the local level.
  • Accurate data entry with minimal errors.
  • Extensive knowledge of local ERP systems and processes.
