Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Devereux Pocono Center. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing direct care and support to our clients, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and behavioral interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of recreational activities, community outings, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with individuals with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences, preferably in a residential or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
