Job Title: Regional Manager of Wealth Management

As a Regional Manager of Wealth Management at Stock Yards Bank & Trust, you will have the opportunity to build and develop all facets of the Wealth Management Business in the Central Kentucky market. Your primary focus will be on obtaining new business, including investment management, trust, company retirement plans, financial planning, and insurance. With a strong emphasis on management and trust experience, you will be provided with a professional environment to continually improve your skills and further your career goals for advancement within the banking profession.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage the Wealth Management & Trust team, developing and marketing the Stock Yards Wealth Management Brand in Central Kentucky.
  • Introduce new business and client services ideas, improving best-practices and driving growth.
  • Develop and implement the team's business plan and tactics to acquire new high net worth clients.
  • Manage the day-to-day sales process through closure, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Develop, prioritize, and cultivate Centers of Influence (COIs) to drive business growth.
  • Create and implement a focused marketing plan to promote the Wealth Management Brand.
  • Prepare and present business presentations to new prospects, showcasing your expertise.
  • Focus on business development duties both internally and externally, collaborating with Wealth and Investment Advisors, Private Bankers, Commercial Lenders, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with other professional advisors to support overall planning needs for clients.
  • Handle new and existing client relationships as an Advisor, providing exceptional service.
  • Partner with other areas of the Bank and the Wealth Management & Trust department to identify and promote cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage expenses of the market, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Business/Finance or related field.
  • Advanced designations such as JD, CPA, CFP, or MBA desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of investment, trust, or financial planning experience.
  • High level of investment, fiduciary, and estate planning knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Time management skills to efficiently manage own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to apply general rules, policies, and regulations to specific problems.

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Morningstar.

  • Experience in managing personnel resources.
  • Broad knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets.
  • Experience successfully managing similar departments or platforms.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires sitting the majority of the time with limited walking and standing. All work occurs indoors and within regular working hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
