Job Title: Grocery Sales Associate

At Times Supermarket, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our products are accurately stocked and displayed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock and rotate grocery items, ensuring that all labels are faced forward and products are easily accessible to customers.
  • Provide assistance to customers on the grocery floor, including finding items, returning stray items to their proper area, and removing damaged products from customer view.
  • Perform cashiering and bagging duties as needed, maintaining accurate register procedures and providing excellent customer service.
  • Return misplaced products to their appropriate area, maintaining product freshness by returning all perishables and frozen items to their proper areas promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with the public is preferred.
  • Able to use box cutters and knowledge of produce codes is required.
  • Working knowledge of produce products and ability to differentiate between different products is necessary.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, walk frequently, and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to multitask, listen to directions, and follow through independently.
  • Able to deal with difficult customers and have good communication and observation skills.

Work Environment:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to changing temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to ring register and operate machinery.
