Your responsibilities.

Your contributions will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as a technical authority on all facets of Snowflake.
  • Engaging directly with clients at a detailed technical level to effectively implement Snowflake using industry best practices, including knowledge transfer.
  • Advising clients and addressing specific technical challenges related to Snowflake.
  • Overseeing comprehensive data analytics design, data modeling, and development for Snowflake across various client engagements.
  • Providing database administration and architecture for cloud-based database technologies, including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, and AWS.
  • Creating and delivering internal and client-focused training workshops on cloud database technologies.
  • Establishing best practices for data architecture within Snowflake and other cloud platforms.
  • Delivering scalable and robust solutions to clients.
  • Collaborating with other data management technologies, including ETL and data quality.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships, along with practice development initiatives.
  • Managing client relationships and overseeing project management tasks.
  • Mentoring junior team members.
  • Quickly adapting to and staying informed about emerging technologies relevant to the industry.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to management and guiding future initiatives.

The qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 7-15 years of experience in data warehouse and analytics architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake and its associated technology stack, including ETL/ELT and database administration.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake in development, modeling, and architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with Snowpark.
  • Strong practical experience with SQL or as a Database Administrator.
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, including dimensional data modeling and related technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of traditional analytics projects, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and master data management.
  • Prior experience with the complete data analytics stack, from ETL to data platform architecture and design to BI and analytics tools.
  • Previous consulting experience, including business development, is preferred.
  • Minimal travel, approximately 20-25% overnight (currently less than 10% travel).
