Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Operate a cash register, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, stockrooms, and other areas as assigned.
  • Assist customers with bulk products, answering questions and providing recommendations as needed.
  • Process sales transactions, including handling returns, exchanges, and refunds.
  • Verify customer IDs and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks and the sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • Notify management of any irregularities or discrepancies in the operating results of any applicable work shift.
Requirements and Conditions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately.
  • Ability to read, write, and analyze written documents.
  • Ability to pass a standard drug test and qualify as being drug-free under the legal and medical guidelines permitted by the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions

This role requires:

  • Regularly sitting, standing, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally exerting or lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
