Senior Graphic Designer - Brand Activation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Brand Activation team at Populous Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of projects from concept to completion, providing creative direction and mentorship to teammates, and building long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a broad spectrum of project types, including experiential design, wayfinding, and branding.
  • Create impactful experiential design solutions for high-profile national and international client brands.
  • Develop a cohesive visual style for each project, guiding the graphic development of individual elements forward.
  • Manage construction documents and large bodies of information for projects from concept through fabrication and install.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional branding and graphic design sensibilities, with an advanced understanding of color usage, typography, and photo composition.
  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills, alongside presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role.
  • Detail-oriented, learns quickly, and adapts to new responsibilities.
  • Understands how to read architectural plans, elevations, and details.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and staying on schedule and on budget.
  • Desire to engage in a fun, collaborative, energetic team, with amazing projects and dynamic company culture.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, interior designers, and planners.
  • Strong work ethic, with demonstrated efficiency, flexibility, and a positive spirit.
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and MS Office required.
  • Experience detailing environmental graphics for fabrication, basic knowledge of fabrication techniques, and proficiency in CadTools a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D software environments also a bonus.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in graphic design in a studio environment, with experience in environmental and placemaking graphic design.
  • Bachelor's Degree (Or Equivalent) in graphic design preferred.
  • Previous work experience in an architecture design firm a plus.
