We are currently seeking a DSD Relief Associate. This position entails serving as a Relief Route Sales Representative (Relief Driver) for our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) team. The relief driver will be accountable for managing open routes and ensuring the effective delivery of products to a designated customer base while providing outstanding customer service and fostering customer growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Early morning start times with extensive driving involved.
- Deliver products while promoting our popular brands and offerings on open routes.
- Conduct service calls, address customer issues or complaints, and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Utilize handheld devices for transaction processing and customer data management, including ordering, scanning, and logging backstock.
- Oversee inventory management and balance daily route operations.
- Safeguard company assets, including the collection of equipment and customer payments.
- Engage with store decision-makers, check in deliveries, obtain signatures, and collect proof of delivery.
- Employ equipment (e.g., carts, pallets) to unload products and navigate through the store.
- Ensure backstock is organized and reaches the sales floor while maintaining back-room inventory in designated locations.
- Rotate products, remove defective and expired items, and process returns and credits with the receiving team.
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves and displays, manage waste disposal, and handle promotional materials.
- Merchandise store displays to ensure proper inventory levels, pricing accuracy, and date code rotation.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on sales experience.
- Previous experience in DSD or truck-to-store sales is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Clean driving record and insurability.
- Ability to work independently in various environments.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, along with strong mathematical abilities.
Work Environment:
- This role requires adherence to safety protocols and may involve working with machinery or hazardous materials.
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking on slippery surfaces, and frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
