Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner Position - Sacramento, CA

Role Type: Full-Time Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Overview: We are looking for a skilled Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide specialized care for pediatric patients facing endocrine disorders in Sacramento, CA. In this capacity, you will evaluate and manage patients, conduct physical examinations, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care. You will report to the Chief of Service and the Department Manager.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform thorough evaluations, including gathering patient history and conducting physical assessments.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage patient medical records and order necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
  • Engage in staff training, quality enhancement initiatives, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Utilize electronic health records and other technological tools for patient documentation and management.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of NP experience in pediatric endocrinology within the last 3 years.
  • Specialized training in endocrinology is essential.
  • Experience managing Type 1 diabetes in pediatric patients is required.
  • Familiarity with insulin pumps and CGMS software is necessary.
  • Certification as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) is mandatory.

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive hourly wage: $91.72 - $108.95
