We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at First Search Inc. as a Production Supervisor. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and production targets.
  • Verify and ensure accurate completion of paperwork and documentation for production jobs.
  • Design and implement efficient room schedules based on demand and resource constraints.
  • React to changes in production schedules, demand, and resources.
  • Develop and implement changeover improvement plans and track performance.
  • Monitor job processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and develop team members, including training and performance evaluation.
  • Handle quality and people-related issues.
  • Accountable for business metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Communicate effectively with team leads and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and train team leaders and assistant team leaders.
  • Approve hourly timekeeping and support lean initiatives.
  • Conduct quality audits and lead walkabout processes for the area.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.

Impact and Safety Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily manufacturing processes to ensure production of received orders.
  • Communicate with Operations Manager to make necessary changes for production.
  • Supervise employees to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Carry out safety policy and procedures as directed by the department manager.
  • Promote and maintain enthusiasm for safety.
  • Conduct thorough accident investigations and submit reports.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and ensure employees wear proper protective equipment.
  • Participate in Job Hazard Analysis and provide safety ideas.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in managing people, planning, and scheduling, with a background in manufacturing and quality control.
  • Lean manufacturing and 6 Sigma certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with MRP systems and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
  • Ability to work any shift, including 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries, such as FDA and ISO.
  • World-class manufacturing knowledge preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business.
