Job Summary:

As a Product Manager II at M&T Bank, you will be responsible for driving the profitability and customer experience of Debit Card and Credit Card products. You will work closely with internal and external business partners to refine and enhance transaction fraud monitoring and dispute processing. Your expertise will be essential in developing and executing complex tactics to meet business objectives, with limited oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Debit Card and Credit Card businesses and their functions, processes, and operations.
  • Combine technical understanding with business knowledge to anticipate impacts of strategy and process change.
  • Lead and engage in discussions with internal and external business partners to refine and enhance Debit Card and Credit Card transaction fraud monitoring and dispute processing.
  • Set targets for performance metrics and provide oversight of monitoring efforts.
  • Develop and execute complex tactics to meet business objectives, with limited oversight.
  • Review new developments in application and transaction fraud space, evaluating and recommending new services or new products, or the modification of existing services or products.
  • Perform reporting and analysis relating to the product portfolio.
  • Ensure product complies with legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years' proven marketing, product management, financial, operations, and/or project management experience.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Strong developmental and research ability.
  • Fraud prevention experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with an ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

Working Model/Office Location:
This is a hybrid location requiring 3 days in-office per week. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to 345 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85, $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
