Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our Perinatal Center, you will be responsible for performing specialized obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound exams and procedures, preparing images and reports, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams and procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare images and reports of examinations and results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist physicians in performance of invasive diagnostic or surgical procedures.
  • Educate and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Maintain practice standards and proficiency in radiology and hospital systems.
Requirements
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registered within one year of hire.
  • Certified in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OB/GYN.
  • BLS Basic Life Support.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program certified by Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience with pelvic and endovaginally ultrasound, first trimester nuchal translucency, second trimester fetal anatomy scans, biophysical profile, umbilical artery and middle cerebral artery (MCA) dopplers, 3D and 4D imaging, assisting with amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, umbilical blood transfusions, and nonstress testing.
