Department Overview:
The Student Accounting department delivers cutting-edge financial services and student account management to support UNT's enrollment and financial objectives.
Role Summary:
The Lead Specialist in Student Payment Operations is responsible for supervising daily operational tasks, ensuring effective cash management, and reconciling payment transactions.
Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting or a related discipline.
Skills and Competencies:
- Outstanding customer service capabilities
- Proficient analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to handle intricate workloads
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in the higher education sector or managing high-volume payment processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate effective relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily functions of Payment Operations
- Manage cash control procedures
- Ensure accuracy and reconcile payment records
- Provide training and mentorship to team members
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional hours as necessary
