About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join our Sustainability team at Independent Project Analysis. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing analytical products and frameworks that support our benchmarking business and targeted research to help industrial clients navigate their energy transition and sustainability improvement journey.

Your primary focus will be on pathways to decarbonize energy-intensive industries through electrification. You will work with a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial team, leveraging our expertise and unmatched data, to advise clients on their energy transition and sustainability improvement journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical products and frameworks to support our benchmarking business and targeted research
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and translate it into clear insights and recommendations
  • Provide input to client technology development and management plans
  • Act as an internal thought partner in shaping and developing strategy for long-term growth
Requirements

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, particularly power systems engineering, is required; a master's degree is preferred. 2+ years of experience working in an Engineering or Operations group in the power, fuels, chemicals, or minerals industry is also required.

This position will involve approximately 10 to 15 percent travel.
