Job Title: Engineering Manager

Arbor is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of our energy decision-making platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding the evolution of our backend infrastructure and tech stack, while fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust system architecture that ensures seamless and efficient energy decision-making experiences for consumers.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to uphold Arbor's tech vision and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define objectives and roll out user-centric experiences.
  • Ensure system integrations, performance, security, scalability, and resilience.
  • Advance our platform using leading-edge technologies and contemporary backend paradigms.
  • Safeguard data integrity and work closely with data architectures like PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
  • Promote rigorous testing, adhere to CI/CD best practices, and champion backend automation.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  • 2+ years of management experience, with a preference for experience with hiring.
  • Fullstack development fluency and ability to navigate and contribute to frontend code occasionally.
  • Hands-on experience with popular backend frameworks and tools.
  • Competency in GCP, AWS ecosystems, or similar platforms.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to break down and simplify intricate problems.
