Glaucoma Specialist Faculty Position

The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at Upstate University Hospital is seeking a glaucoma/anterior segment specialist to join its faculty. Faculty rank will be determined based on experience.
The successful candidate will be a key member of our clinical division, which is the largest multispecialty ophthalmology group in Upstate New York. They will be responsible for patient care, resident teaching and supervision, medical student teaching, and emergency call on a rotational basis.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in resident education of glaucoma, will staff resident glaucoma and cataract surgery, and will cover some comprehensive ophthalmology clinics as needed.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery
- Teach and supervise residents in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery
- Teach medical students in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery
- Participate in emergency call on a rotational basis
- Staff resident glaucoma and cataract surgery
- Cover some comprehensive ophthalmology clinics as needed
- MD or DO degree
- NYS license or eligibility
- Board certification in ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in glaucoma with anterior segment surgery expertise
- Demonstrated interest in resident education of glaucoma
- Experience in staff resident glaucoma and cataract surgery
- Ability to cover some comprehensive ophthalmology clinics as needed
