About Us

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US, providing a wide range of vehicle services, including repair and reconditioning, auction remarketing, and distribution center operations. Our inventory comprises hundreds of thousands of vehicles across North America, from retail to commercial, OEM, and more.

Role and Team

As a Detailer, you will work as part of a production team, reporting to a designated Manager or supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to complete the reconditioning process for vehicles consigned for the weekly auction.

Responsibilities
  • Work in team units to clean, detail, and prepare vehicles for sale
  • Learn and apply proper techniques for exterior and interior cleaning processes
  • Develop and maintain vehicle inspection skills to ensure high-quality standards
  • Prepare for advanced techniques and work independently in designated areas
  • Operate equipment and tools to compound, polish, and buff surfaces
  • Apply paint correction techniques to remove imperfections
  • Touch up paint as needed
  • Apply advanced techniques to interior rejuvenation, stain removal, and odor remediation
  • Conduct spot checks and final vehicle quality inspections
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools

Physical Working Conditions

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems.
