Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Geomatics Crew Chief to oversee the daily operations of our land survey crew. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for determining the most efficient plans for data acquisition on a range of field surveys, from primary control to construction layout and as-built surveys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily field operations of a land survey crew, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Determine the most efficient plan of action for data acquisition, taking into account project specifications and tolerances.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including sketches and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including project surveyors, technicians, clients, and land owners.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports, time sheets, and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain and operate land surveying vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in surveying, with a strong background in construction layout.
  • Proficiency in the use of GNSS receivers, data collectors, and Trimble equipment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
