Position: Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals by executing both administrative and clinical responsibilities. This includes preparing examination rooms for patient assessments, documenting patient medical histories, and ensuring the functionality of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms prior to and following patient visits
  • Conduct patient interviews to gather and document medical histories, vital signs, and test outcomes
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient evaluations and in-office procedures
  • Perform routine urinalysis, draw blood, assist with dressing changes, and administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
  • Triage incoming patient calls
  • Manage medical supply inventory
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
  • Dispose of contaminated materials properly
  • Willingness to travel between various locations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Associate's Degree
  • Preferred Experience: 1 year in an OB/GYN setting, familiarity with eClinical Works EMR
  • Certifications: Professional Medical Assistant Certification (mandatory), Basic Life Support/CPR certification (preferred)
