Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician I to join our team at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package medications in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process prescription orders and maintain accurate records
  • Triangulate medication-related communications and maintain electronic medical records
  • Interact with healthcare providers and patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform inventory control and cycle counts
  • Operate CII safe and follow controlled substance procedures
  • Direct clinical inquiries to pharmacists and answer non-clinical inquiries
  • Assist in training and development of pharmacy technicians and interns
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certified as a Washington State Pharmacy Technician
  • Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations and communicate effectively
  • Familiarity with generic drug names and basic indications
  • Ability to use pharmacy computer systems and order entry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification from an accredited technical institute
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy or oncology setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records
