Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team in the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, with a focus on Oral Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Oral Medicine courses, ensuring alignment with the college's mission and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to ensure delivery of the DMD educational program in Oral Medicine.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for DMD students in Oral Medicine clinics, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to Oral Medicine education.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Oral Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of postgraduate training in Oral Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a faculty member in Oral Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • Board certification in Oral Medicine.
