Job Title: Data Engineer - Trade Surveillance

The Data Engineer - Trade Surveillance role at Strategic Staffing Solutions is responsible for assisting with the technology planning, delivery, and embedding of a new third-party Trade Surveillance solution in US/EMEA. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise with relevant international regulations such as MAD/MAR and the regulatory environment within capital markets.



The ideal candidate will have broad experience in technology delivery, including the implementation of third-party and cloud-hosted solutions. They will also cover tactical enhancements to existing solutions and rationalization of the trade surveillance estate. The role will form part of the Data Engineering team working with the local Compliance function and within a global technology team, largely based in the US.



The candidate will be expected to contribute to vendor management and liaise with vendor staff located in the US and UK. The scope of this role will be focused on EMEA deployment, but the system will be rolled out globally, and the role will also require understanding and factoring in global requirements.



The candidate will ensure that the project complies with all company policies regarding the management of third-party solutions, Information Security, and the Software Development Lifecycle. They should have strong experience working in an Agile environment and excellent business analysis, communication, and organizational skills.



The role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. The ideal candidate should have Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Advanced SQL, Hadoop & HIVE experience, as well as broad experience in technology delivery and expertise with relevant international regulations.
