About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team at Urgent Recruiting. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for defending personal injury and property damage claims, including products liability, construction litigation, toxic torts defense, premises liability, and transportation law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Defend Personal Injury and Property Damage Claims: You will be responsible for researching and defending complex personal injury and property damage claims, including products liability, construction litigation, toxic torts defense, premises liability, and transportation law.
  • Research and Draft Legal Documents: You will be responsible for researching and drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and all other documents in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Clients and Colleagues: You will be responsible for communicating with clients regularly and working closely with other attorneys and support staff.
  • Handle Court Appearances and Depositions: You will be responsible for handling court appearances, client meetings, and depositions.
Requirements:
  • JD from an Accredited Law School: You must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to Practice Law in MD: You must be admitted to practice law in Maryland.
  • Admitted to Practice in Other Jurisdictions: Admission to practice in other jurisdictions, such as DC or VA, is a plus.
  • 4-8 Years' Experience: You must have 4-8 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Strong Academic Credentials: You must have strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Independently: You must be able to work independently and have a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated approach to your work.
