Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Overnight Counselor to join our team at Advocates. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all individuals during overnight shifts.

As a Female Overnight Counselor, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with various needs, promoting a safe and healthy living environment, and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report to shift on time and remain responsive to the needs of individuals throughout the shift.
  • Assist individuals with morning activities, such as preparing lunch and advising on weather-appropriate clothing.
  • Lift and transfer individuals as needed.
  • Implement established treatment programs and provide transportation to day programs as required.
  • Monitor and report significant health, psychiatric, or behavioral issues to the on-call person.
  • Prepare summaries of interactions and objective behavioral observations using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Provide a safe living environment through compliance with agency policies, OSHA, and other safety standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with good judgment.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the population we support.
  • Flexibility to work throughout the division.
