Job Summary
The Health Service Coordinator plays a vital role in providing clinical, clerical, and technical support to nurses in various departments at Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general clinical support to nurses in IQIPS, Nurse Line, Care Management, and Community Health Access departments.
- Assist with patient care activities, such as answering phone calls, responding to messages, and coordinating appointments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with MCHS policies and protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Terminology course or Health Unit Coordinator Program preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated keyboard, computer, and telephone proficiency.
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility, including direct patient contact or customer service experience, is highly desirable.
Certifications/Licenses
None required; however, certifications or licenses may be preferred or required based on departmental needs.
