Job Summary

As a Paramedic Security Specialist, you will perform day-to-day personal protective security functions, including interpreter/translator duties and driving responsibilities. You will also participate in advance security preparations and man security posts as required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions, including escorting principals and responding to security incidents.
  • Provide interpreter/translator services as required, facilitating effective communication between principals and stakeholders.
  • Drive lead vehicles, principal vehicles, follow-vehicles, and/or act as response agents in motorcades or similar operations.
  • Maintain assigned protective formation positions during principal movements.
  • Participate in advance security preparations, including reconnaissance and threat assessments.
  • Man security posts at principals' residences or command posts, as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Hold a valid U.S. Passport and State Driver's License.
  • Have a Honorable military discharge.
  • Be certified as a Paramedic (NREMT-P) with a valid registration for at least 6 months prior to deployment and throughout the deployment period.
  • Hold current approved CPR professional rescuer, ACLS, and advanced trauma training credentials (BTLS or PHTLS or equivalent).
  • Have completed the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course or an equivalent tactical trauma course within the last 90 days.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of emergency medical services experience and 3 years of applicable work experience in armed high threat protective services.
Requirements
  • Attend and successfully complete the PSS training course.
  • Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required.
  • Obtain and maintain a personnel security clearance as identified in the task order.
  • Complete the WPS Physical Readiness Test at the 65% performance level and maintain that fitness level throughout service.
  • Be able to travel overseas to and within countries considered dangerous or unhealthy.
Additional Requirements

We expect this position to be included in the recent federal Executive Order (EO) and subsequent guidance, requiring federal contractors and employers with more than 100 employees to implement a vaccine mandate. Therefore, it is expected that anyone hired into this position will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencement of employment in accordance with the EO and any subsequent guidance, unless an accommodation is legally required.
