Counterterrorism Operations Analyst

Tuvli, an Akima company, is seeking a highly skilled Counterterrorism Operations Analyst to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of multi-regional campaigns and programs designed to counter Violent Extremist Organizations (VEOs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Operations Team in planning, budgeting, and administrative processes.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including reserving conference rooms, arranging equipment, and drafting agendas.
  • Provide logistical support, serve as a notetaker, and draft readouts as needed.
  • Prepare leadership for activities and events, including in-person briefings and written materials.
  • Liaise with vendors, regional and functional bureaus, interagency partners, and staff of U.S. Embassies and Consulates.
  • Support resource planning functions and draft internal memoranda for additional funding requests.
  • Monitor trends in terrorist activities and CVE efforts, identifying opportunities and recommending ways to fill programming gaps.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of current analytic thought on counterterrorism/counter violent extremism (CT/CVE) and ability to recognize and understand terrorist adversaries' narratives.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources and viewpoints.
  • Familiarity with VEOs' manipulative tactics and logical fallacies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish liaison within the foreign policy and intelligence communities.
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities, and creative thinking.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
