Public Health Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Advisor to join our team at the Bureau of Public Health Clinics. As a Public Health Advisor, you will play a critical role in improving the sexual health of all New Yorkers.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients seeking sexual health clinic services and provide intake services to discern what services they are seeking.
- Order and process specimens correctly and in a timely fashion.
- Register patients into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Assure that the rooms are cleaned and sanitized in preparation for the next patient.
- Order medications and supplies needed for the daily function of the clinic.
- Assure that each clinician room has the proper and sufficient supplies and medications to examine patients effectively.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twelve semester credits in health education, or in health, social or biological sciences. Alternatively, you may have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and six months of full-time satisfactory experience in a health promotion or disease intervention/prevention program.
