As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating disorders of speech, language, and swallowing in patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose disorders of speech, language, and swallowing in patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Conduct radiologic assessments and interpret results
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Current certification in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA or New Mexico Speech & Language Pathology)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in speech pathology, preferably with neurologically impaired adults and dysphagia
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
This position requires the ability to work in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals. The successful candidate will be able to lift supplies or equipment up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
