Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Safety and Health Programs: Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Foster Innovation and Productivity: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase productivity and quality of our products.
  • Control Costs and Waste: Monitor and control direct and indirect costs, as well as waste of materials, to optimize our operations.
  • Lead and Direct Department Personnel: Supervise and coach employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and Maintain Open Communication: Foster open communication within the department and with other teams to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Repairs: Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure prompt and proper diagnosis of equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to optimize equipment and personnel resources, including kaizen events, standard work, and problem-solving.
  • Meet Quality Standards: Collaborate with Quality Assurance to meet or exceed all quality standards, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in the metal industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with Greenbelt certification preferred
  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic
