Job Summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer III to join our Substation Design department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electrical plans, specifications, and standards for new and existing substations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in planning, design, and specification preparation. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electrical plans, specifications, and standards for new and existing substations
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all designs are aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and other related documents
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on substation design and development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, including AutoCAD and other related tools
