Position Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining capacity models for the manufacturing department. This role involves close collaboration with design and manufacturing engineering teams to facilitate the introduction of new products and equipment. The individual will lead lean systems training initiatives and drive operational excellence within the manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting annual capacity reviews and ensuring the accuracy of Standard Work Combination Sheets (SWCS).
- Maintaining capacity tools and training stakeholders for effective on-the-spot reviews.
- Collaborating with engineering teams on time observations for equipment implementation.
- Managing equipment locations and coordinating moves with relevant departments.
- Leading cross-functional teams on special projects as directed by management.
- Recommending equipment and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
- Supporting ergonomic improvement initiatives in partnership with EH&S.
- Creating CAD layouts and workflow simulation models to enhance operational efficiency.
- Facilitating PRINT Kaizen events and ensuring sustained results through follow-up and audits.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex issues effectively. The ideal candidate will be committed to driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
