Role Summary
The Senior Emergency Medical Technician provides essential patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This role involves a variety of critical functions for patients in urgent need of medical attention.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Work a schedule of 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, three days a week, including weekend shifts.
- Assist in obtaining and documenting vital signs and monitoring patient conditions.
- Perform technical tasks such as 12-lead EKGs and IV maintenance.
- Support patient care activities, including dressing applications and immobilization.
- Document vital signs and test results accurately and promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical supplies and equipment.
- Provide educational materials to patients and their families.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current licensure as a Paramedic.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a field or clinical setting.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support within six months of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within one year of hire.
