Patient Care Technician

About the Role:
Virtua Health is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse/LPN to assist with patients' activities of daily living and plan of care.
Responsibilities:
- Support patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport.
- Perform technical duties as directed by RN/LPN, such as vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, and foley catheter care.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team, patients, and/or patient's family or significant other(s).
- Participate in Virtua patient satisfaction initiatives and goals.
- Assist in orientation of new hires.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate required knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures, and standards.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- High School Diploma or Grade Equivalent Diploma (GED) required.
- BLS certification.
