Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Systems Section Manager to join our team. As a key member of our control systems team, you will be responsible for leading the operations of our control systems section, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support. You will also function as a control systems design lead and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for operations of control systems section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
- Function as a control systems design lead and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
- Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Be involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews
- See that all work is planned, organized, controlled, and evaluated through proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor, and support company policy
- Select, train, develop, and manage technical personnel
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
- Coordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional controls design and systems integration work
- Write and edit control systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years experience
- Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
